This testimony was submitted
by Mrs. Joe Ann Glover and captures a true moment in time. A moment on April 8, 1998, in Minor, Alabama, when seventy
people huddled together in a narrow church hallway during an F5 tornado and together experienced a miracle!
Mrs. Glover was one of those seventy people and submitted this entry as a testimony that
God most certainly sends His angels to protect and comfort us in times of need. As she herself had personally experienced,
for the first time, years before that 1998 tornado, when she saw an angel of God at the foot of her bed letting
her know that a certain situation was going to be okay.
All thanks and praise
be to God!
April 8, 1998 started as a normal day for Emily, but before
its end, would become a day she would always remember. In fact, it would become a memorable day for everyone in Minor,
Alabama.
After dinner that Wednesday evening, Emily and her twin sister Christie, attended church with their father.
Her mother, who was recovering from surgery stayed at home. Shortly after service ended and the church members dispersed into
individual groups, the church received a phone call from Emily's mother warning of an F5 tornado in the area.
All church members where quickly gathered into the lower church hallway, only moments before the tornado
hit! Horrific noise began to fill the air... lights went off one by one until all was black... vehicles and debris slammed
into the building... the ceiling collapsed and exterior walls of the church where stripped away... church members screamed...
Within moments, it was all over. Devastation had struck! The church was demolished, except for the hallway where the
church members huddled together, praying and singing praises unto the Lord.
It was not the building that protected
them, but the hand of God. Twelve year old Emily, very calmly reported that she saw angels surrounding and protecting her
and the other church members! "I heard the angels saying, more help, we need more help. They where holding things off
of us. Everything seemed white and I believe God was there."
Emily's mother had always told her and her
sister that they had guardian angles protecting them, and that night it was confirmed. Although Christie did not
see the angels, she believes her sister did and the experience has strenghtened their faith and brought them closer
together.
Earlier in Emily's life she had been afraid to die, but now says there is nothing she is afraid of...
"all because of the angels!"
It's been ten years since that terrible, but also
miraculous night, of the F5 tornado. A lot has changed in my life and the lives of those sixty-nine other church
members since, however, one thing that has not changed is God... He is still in control and it is a wonderful life!
